When he isn't focused on his work, Nigel loves spending time with his family, friends, and the outdoors. His partner Lauren, baby boy and beautiful daughters are the center of his world. When not with them, he can be found with his nose in his beehives, catching a trout on a fly in a remote Michigan stream or charging down a Michigan mountain on his bike with friends.

Nigel has a background in land bank-focused policy, strategy and operations, as well as parcel-level data systems, and applied spatial econometric research.
He is passionate about leveraging over 20-years of experience in land banking to transform and revitalize low-functioning residential, commercial, and industrial areas in the Great Lakes region and throughout the U.S. Nigel particularly enjoys using property-level data systems and workflow technologies to integrate with land banking leadership, partners, and teams to strategically impact local economies by breathing new life into blighted and abandoned property.
Prior to joining South Suburban Land Bank in 2023, Nigel was the CEO of Dynamo Metrics, Inc., a VC-backed government technology firm grown out of a policy- and economic research consultancy that he co-founded. As CEO of a small tech startup, Nigel led and motivated his team of top engineering, sales, and marketing talent while also handling fundraising, operations, and finance. In early-2022 Nigel led a successful merger and acquisition of Dynamo Metrics, Inc. by Munetrix, a Michigan-based K-12 performance analytics firm. Nigel then briefly took on the role of Chief Strategy Officer at Munetrix to help their team integrate the Dynamo software into their products. By late-2022 Nigel was looking to reintegrate into the land bank space when he reconnectedwith the previous leadership and customer in Gary, IN - the newly-minted Executive Director of the South Suburban Land Bank, Joe Van Dyk. Given their strong history of successful collaboration, Joe invited Nigel to team-up and build the strategy, performance, operational capacity, and data systems of SSLB. Nigel currently serves as the Operations and Performance Strategist at SSLB.
Nigel holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Applied Economics from Michigan State University.
