Nia Muhammad is a communications and project management professional whose career sits at the intersection of storytelling, creativity, and community impact. Her background spans entertainment and television production, nonprofit communications, project management.
Before joining the South Suburban Land Bank in 2024, Nia worked in the medical nonprofit sector, supported her father’s construction company, N&A Consulting LLC, and gained hands-on experience working with the camera department on a few limited series. Across each experience, she has developed a passion for strategic communications and finding creative ways to make complex ideas accessible, engaging, and meaningful across different mediums.
Nia currently serves as the Land Bank’s Communications, outreach and FOIA Officer, where she leads communications initiatives, supports public information efforts, and helps tell the story of the Land Bank’s work across the Southland.
She holds a B.A. in Communications from Howard University and has earned certifications spanning project management and other professional disciplines. Outside of her day-to-day work, Nia is an avid 3D and concept artist, with a particular interest in visual storytelling, design, and imagining spaces, products and worlds before they exist.
